The Fourth of July is less than a month away, and we’re here to help you get your plans in order so you’re not scrambling last-minute.
Here are Independence Day events happening in the Upstate:
Music by the Lake | Thursday, June 27
Furman’s Lakeside Concert Band + Greenville Chorale team up for this annual patriotic concert with a professional fireworks display for the finale. Bonus: On Thursday, July 4, there won’t be fireworks at Music by the Lake, but there will be a live speed painter accompanying the Lakeside Concert Band.
Freedom Blast at Greer City Park | Saturday, June 29
Gear up for Greer’s Independence Day celebration from 6 to 10:30 p.m. featuring a kids zone, food + beer, live music, a military tribute, a rib eating contest, and fireworks.
City of Fountain Inn’s Fireworks Spectacular | Saturday, June 29
The city of Fountain Inn will host a Fourth of July celebration from 6 p.m. until dark with live music, food trucks, a kids zone, and fireworks. Pro tip: Visit the new Mill at Fountain Inn while you’re there.
Simpsonville Simply Freedom Fest | Sunday, June 30
This fest — formerly known as Celebrate Simpsonville — will include fireworks + a performance by Smash Mouth at the CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park.
Clemson MBA Fireworks on the Fourth | Thursday, July 4
Head to Unity Park for an evening of live music, food trucks, and fireworks. Bring a blanket and enjoy a picnic dinner starting at 6 p.m. Fireworks will go off at 9:45 p.m.
Independence Day Celebration with the Greenville Drive | Thursday, July 4
Enjoy a pregame street party on District 356 as well as special military programming, then watch the Drive take the field in their stars and stripes jerseys. The evening will end with a fireworks display. Buy tickets.
Bonus: Kids bike parade | Saturday, July 6
While we know this isn’t a fireworks show, it is one of our favorite Fourth of July events each year. Deck out your bikes and trikes in red, white, and blue at the Travelers Rest Farmers Market.
